Brooklyn Botanical Garden

It was a beautiful Spring day here in New York, so five of us moms took the subway out to Brooklyn to the botanical gardens. Madi kept yelling "Brooklyn, Ho!" thanks to daddy teaching her an old rap song. The locals found it hilarious. (Pictured with our friends Margo, Isaac, and baby Alexander.)
Madeline learned a few things. First - Cherry blossoms do not taste good.
Second - The gardens look more beautiful when you are holding hands with a friend. (I also found that they don't run away from you as quickly if they are anchored to each other.)
Third - Stealing kisses is permitted on the premises. Picking flowers is not. (Yes, there were a few incidents.)
Fourth - Saying "cheeese" gets old after a while. So, mom had to settle with "get it over with" glares.

Quotes of the Week:

Madeline draws a picture for daddy.
Daddy - "Madeline that is great! You're a good artist."
Madeline - "Yes....and a dentist."

Madeline throws a fit after not getting her way.
Madeline sobs - "Mommy, I need a blanket."
Mommy - "Why do you need a blanket?"
Madeline - "To wipe away my big, crocodile tears."

Wedding Day in Las Vegas
We were surprised to see our family and friends lined up outside the temple after we were married. It was a nice moment for us.
