Winter Vacation

Right after Christmas we left the snow of New York City...
...and headed for the desert of Southern Utah.

Madeline played in the pecan orchards at the Grandpotters...
.. and fed some pecans to the goats next door,
..bounced on the trampoline,
...and hung out with her older cousins.
We felt blessed to have both sets of Madeline's grandparents with us.The Grandmoore's loved the beauty of the area. Here they are in Snow Canyon at the sand dunes. Madeline loved grabbing fist fulls of sand.Mark and Kayleen hosted many delicious dutch-oven dinners. And then G-Pop kindled the party with his fabulous piano playing. We sang and sang until we were hoarse. Tennessee Waltz, Cecilia, What a Wonderful World, I Will Survive....you name it, G-Pop played it. And we loved it. Who knew that Missy had such a smokey jazz voice?
We were sorry that our plans to visit our friends and family in Northern Utah were thwarted but we enjoyed our time in the desert.

Wedding Day in Las Vegas

Wedding Day in Las Vegas
We were surprised to see our family and friends lined up outside the temple after we were married. It was a nice moment for us.
