Central Park Zoo

Surprise!
Charles is the most difficult person to buy presents for.  So, I decided this year I would throw a surprise party for him during a month that wasn't even his birthday.  We had a blast.  Charles was a good sport.

Adam and his friend Sophie came to visit.  They were so much fun.  We loved the way they enjoyed the city.  They made every minute count...and even survived the craziness of Manhattan on St. Patricks Day.
We went to the Central Park zoo with some friends on a cold day earlier this month.  So much to see even though not all the exhibits were open.
Those poor alpacas.  Madeline didn't even know how much they wanted her snacks.
We were happy to enter the aquarium because it was so cold outside.  Madi and Truman pose in front of the penguins aquarium.
After we got our fingers and noses warm we made our way to see the jaguar.
An then on to the seals.
Then on to find a taxi home.

Thanksgiving

I'm finally getting around to posting Thanksgiving photos.  We went to the Grandmoore's and had a fabulous time!
Granny Mae is so busy that it's a treat for us to spend time with her.
Madeline and Grandmum made a special treat of dates rolled in sugar.  There was a lot of finger licking.
What a beautiful, old, bird.  (And the turkey isn't bad either.  Ha!)  This is the first turkey I have ever made and it turned out pretty good.
Charles' cousin Johnny and his wife Helena came this year.  Here are their daughters, Courtney and Kayla, helping make a gingerbread house.  They only live a few blocks from us but they are so busy being athletes that it's very difficult to see them.
Madeline loves her cousins.  Wait...or is it second cousins?  Second cousins are first rate!

Wedding Day in Las Vegas

Wedding Day in Las Vegas
We were surprised to see our family and friends lined up outside the temple after we were married. It was a nice moment for us.
