I love this photo of Dad. (He's the tall one with dark hair.) This was taken in Hawaii where he was a missionary back in 1950. He was only 23 years old. You're so handsome Dad!

Federer vs Hale

I have always thought that my nephew, Ben, looks like the great Tennis champion, Roger Federer. I must admit I cried when Roger was defeated by Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open (Charles was quite amused by this burst of emotion and has suggested I seek professional help). A victory by Federer would've tied him with Pete Sampras for total Grand Slams. He'll get it next year!

Ben is currently performing in Phantom of the Opera at The Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. We can't wait to get back out West and visit Ben and Rebekah and go to our favorite restaurant - Rosemary's.

Blessing Day

Madeline was blessed today and she didn't make a peep. Well, just a little peep so Daddy pulled the binky out of his pocket and that did the trick. Charles did a great job, too, I was so proud.

Madeline loves her new blessing dress....especially the lacey sleeves...they seem to taste great!

Thank you, Aunt Mabel, for the beautiful dress. It fit like a glove. We love you!
